SAFETY AT MICA MOUNTAIN: The safety of our students and staff is the number one priority for our amazing school district. The foundation for a safe school is built on the connectedness of the community it serves, strong partnerships with parents, and proactive planning of security measures. There are a few Emergency Procedures that we want to make sure all families have a clear understanding of: Fire/Evacuation: Evacuation occurs when it is safer to be outside than inside. Lockdown: Lockdowns will be put into effect when there is an immediate threat of violence in or around the school. Shelter-In-Place: Shelter in Place will be put into effect when the conditions outside are not safe. Instruction will continue but there will be no movement throughout campus. One of our greatest resources are parents who willingly volunteer on campus. To help with school safety, if you are an active and current first responder with a current responder certification, please take a few moments to complete the survey below if you are interested in volunteering on the Mica Mountain campus.
We will use this information to connect with you in regards to an upcoming meeting to discuss volunteering on our campus this next school year. The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us. We are humbled that you chose to be a part of our Thunderbolt family this school year. We continue to be honored to serve you and your family.
Please CLICK HERE for the survey if you are a current 1st Responder and willing to volunteer on campus.
