The Federal Impact Aid window is upon us again. This program provides essential financial support to schools. It is designed to assist local school districts.
who have lost revenue due to federal properties’ exemption from local property taxes. In years past, Vail School District has benefited from Federal Impact Aid funds because of your participation in this annual survey.
How you can help...
● Please complete the survey for YOUR STUDENT(S) by Friday, October 30, 2026, through logging onto your PowerSchool parent account. Refer to the FAQ attached for further instructions.
● It is important that ALL parents/ guardians complete this form.
● The funding is determined by the concentration of students whose parents/guardians are in the uniformed services or employed by the federal government on eligible federal properties (eg. a military base, Veterans Administration medical center, etc.).
● An alternative option is to complete a paper form, which can be requested at the school office.
The fund helps offset costs for Mica Mountain High School materials, resources, tutoring and other student services needed.
Every completed and returned form is important.
